Okmulgee & Dripping Springs Lake & Recreation Area

The Okmulgee Lake area was a State Park for many years but is now under the City of Okmulgee. It is nestled in the beautiful oak trees & backs up to Dripping Springs Lake. Okmulgee Lake was built in 1927 & is 668 acres with 19 miles of shoreline. Dripping Springs Lake is 1,150 acres & was built in 1979. There are 3 separate camp sites with restrooms, playground area & an ADA accessible fishing dock. Ypu enjoy swimming, fishing & water sports on the lake. 3 1/2 miles of hiking trails. It has several native sandstone structures that were built by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC). The spillway attracts many visitors with its beauty when it is flowing.
