For many years, Janes was the VP of Production for a Paramount Studios shingle in Los Angeles after graduating from UCLA with her MFA in the Producing Program. Her love for documentary filmmaking goes back to the beginning of her career, where she edited films for PBS. Amy also currently serves as board chairman of Generation Citizen, board member on the acclaimed Dr. Ruth Joyce Colbert Barnes Foundation and advisor to the nonprofit Diversity in Impact Media Oklahoma. Storytelling is her passion and life.
I am a creative producer who has been in the trenches on all sorts of productions. I run a tight ship and expect respect from all crew members on my sets. Passion, Patience and Persistence are three words I live by and they have gotten me to where I am today... During my tenure in Los Angeles, I became know as an elite Pr-editor. I love working with directors to help them reach their goals and create beautiful stories.
