My name is Emily Pearson, and I recently graduated from the University of Tulsa with a major in Film Studies and a minor in Advertising. Throughout my academic journey at the University of Tulsa, I developed a profound passion for storytelling and communication through film. My education in Film Studies allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of film theory, history, and production techniques, while my minor in Advertising equipped me with valuable skills in crafting compelling narratives and reaching target audiences effectively. Now that I have completed my education, I am wholeheartedly ready to put my knowledge and creativity to work in a professional environment.
I've taken the "Set Ready" course and am a certified PA through the Oklahoma TV and Film Academy instructed by Richard Janes. I've worked as an Electrician and Grip. I set up lights, worked electrical, looked after equipment, loaded and unloaded from truck. Finally, as a Second Assistant Camera I wrote down the descriptions of the shots taken and was on the clapper board. Other skills are that I am proficient in the use of iMovie, Adobe Flash and Final Cut Pro.
