I am relatively new to the industry and although I was officially billed as a production assistant on my first project, after day 3 I was given the opportunity to exclusively work with the G/E teams on set and was able to learn a myriad of invaluable information and skills related to their departments. I can now say that I would be comfortable working in either department, although it should be noted the majority of the time I worked with electric.
