Chad K. Slagle is a nationally and internationally recognized singer-songwriter His songs have been heard in several TV shows, as well as 2 major motion films. His understanding of roots music and its history even earned him an Executive Producer spot on the film, “The Songcatcher” starring Aidan Quinn and Janet McTeer in 2000.
Chad moved to Nashville about that time where he worked as both a staff writer, studio musician, and all-around road musician. He has worked with national acts like BR549, Kenny Rogers, Pam Tillis, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson.
Kelley Ray Potts is a multi-instrumentalist who grew up in Norman, OK. Kelley has it all---a great baritone voice, great chops on the guitar, lap steel, banjo, and mandolin, and has been schooled in everything from blues, country, rock, and bluegrass. When Chad found Kelley, it was like finding a long lost brother.
David Ingram is a drummer’s drummer---having played everything from country and swing, to heavy metal and rock! David has worked with several well-known Oklahoma bands including Straight Shooter, Freedom Road, and The Relics before meeting Chad. He has also played on stage with artists from Toby Keith to Jackyll. David had the drive and versatility Chad had been looking for, and David was quickly on board.
The last piece of the puzzle came when a chance meeting introduced Chad to Katie Ballew-- a fantastic vocalist, bass player, and all-around musician. Katie had fronted the well-known Gypsum River Band for some time, but was ready for a new venture. After sitting in with the guys for just a few songs, it was obvious to Chad and the guys that they had completed their quest. It was time to move forward. And since then, moving forward is all they have done.
